Nina Katchadourian's very meticulous and ambitious project 'Finland's Unamed Islands'is made up of all the small island formations taken from a map of Finland in an almanac. These island's names were not marked and so the artist cut them out of the map, isolating each behind glass, placing them side by side. Very tiny, solid, organic white shapes, each different and unique, create a interesting image reminescent of a map like the one they were taken from.
