'Neukom Vivarium' consists a fallen hemlock tree removed from its natural habitat outside of Seattle, and put into the context of a permanent installation within a sculpture park. It asks questions about the process of removing a living system from its original habitat and preserving it within a new one, forcing the viewer to question their ideas of nature and the preservation of it.
